Saving the Monarchs

In July 2022, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature officially declared Monarch butterflies as endangered. The most effective action individuals can do is to plant milkweed. I knew that many people would be happy to do so if they only knew what an impact it would have. So I created a Facebook page for my community to raise awareness and encourage action.
To be involved, take these simple steps.
1. Request free milkweed seeds or purchase them.
2. Plant them between September 1 and October 16.
3. Share photos of your seeds on the page.
4. Mark your plant locations on our neighborhood map.
Together, we can make a difference for Monarch butterflies!
